In an SEO scenario, Google likes to trust sites that have links from high quality, relevant sources. For example, large news websites don’t generally link to an untrusted source, nor do top quality industry blogs or university or .edu websites. User-generated content (UGC) sites and communities are two of my favourite places to find untapped keywords. Links don't matter that much for ranking in the Featured Snippet when you already rank on page one of Google. What Google wants to see is authoritative and relatable links talking about your site.

Readability

SEO marketers find that negative SEO attacks are becoming more prevalent as they continue working on a strategy. Yes, competitors might try to penalize your website and get your website removed from Google. Search engine optimization (SEO) is a term that gets thrown around a lot. It is no longer a hip, mysterious thing. Many people know what it is and numerous large companies already have a well-developed SEO strategy in place. People continually say that SEO is dead and that trying to rank in Google is futile. Then you get a sales pitch that points you to a social media product or some other type of paid traffic gimmick. When writing an article or some content for your web page, remember- ‘spices add flavour to a dish and make it more appealing to our senses. In the same way, keywords are like spices to our content. Keyword density is good but, to create rich content, there should be variety in the keywords used.

Focus on doing the right thing and helping Google do its job

The One Percent Rule states that only a tiny fraction of people within any online community actually create content. The other 99% of users consume or contribute to content, but do not create. From an SEO perspective, I never treat a piece of content as ‘complete’. There is always room for improvement with updates, additional information, and various other things that can make it more useful to visitors. Make sure that your site’s structure and hierarchy are as clear and logical as possible, with your homepage as the “root” page (the starting point). The authority of the domain is important and it needs to be addressed in any walkthrough of SEO.

Have a go at optimizing your TF-IDF scores

On the web, sole traders can in theory compete with the corporate big boys, so being able to be found – and found easily – among those searches is essential for any firm You don't need to write at a doctorate level to rank at the top of Google. You simply need to write at a higher reading level than normal. Content is an On-Page Factor. This means that you can optimize your content by optimizing your On-Site and On-Page factors and making sure you setup your site the right way for Search Engine Optimization before you get started. ​ According to Gaz Hall, a UK SEO Consultant : "By starting a blog — or taking an existing blog up a notch — you can increase your influence and establish stronger relationships with potential and current customers."

Leads are the lifeblood of a business

If you were to build a house and the foundation was in terrible condition, you’d have a lot of issues, regardless of how nice you decorated the interior. The same is true for SEO. You need to have a great foundation on your website. If your site uses a lot of imagery, consider adding a Pin It button to allow Pinterest users to easily add images to their boards. For sites with lots of high-quality product, inspirational or instructional images, Pinterest can be a major driver of traffic - especially given that every Pin and Repin of your image includes a link back to your site. Doing so will dramatically bias outcomes in your favor. Link building is hard and getting high-quality links is a time-consuming process. If you’re tempted by quick win strategies or tactics then don’t be surprised when your rankings start to dip. Creating great quality and link worthy content will help your business gain links naturally and there are also a few tactics that you can use to acquire new links.
