If you conduct business online, you need to use website analytics to track how well your site is doing. Otherwise, you’re essentially running your business blind and will have no insight into your site’s effectiveness. Content is written in a manner that helps Google and other search engines find and identify it as being relevant to certain keywords and phrases that people enter into the search engine query box. When consumers search vocally, their queries are hugely different from how they write them out. The most noticeable aspect of this is that voice search produces many long-tail keyword queries. Not all links are equal, as high-authority sites contribute more heavily in this regard. This means you should aim for more reputable mentions – but without snubbing any lesser sites that might link to you, as it all adds up. It’s easier for a source to link to your content if it’s authentic, interesting and well-researched, so always aim for quality over quantity.

Consider a VPS for SEO

Remember how people say, "it's not about what you know, it's about who you know"? The same goes for the Web. Those relationships will turn into links, both in the short-term & the long-term. Google now indexes content from Facebook, Twitter and presumably more social media platforms to come. If your timing and relevance is right, your post could directly show up in search results. Over the past few years the way we use search engines have changed. We no longer just type words into search engines, we can speak to our phones and search by asking questions, or we can use smart assistants on devices such as Google Home to answer queries for us. Good formatting can instantly improve your page’s readability. This, in turn, can improve your engagement rate.

Take advantage of rich snippets

Go through all your pages and look at your titles. Are you making the most of your keywords? And are they as interesting as possible (and suitable)? Each page needs a unique title tag, and tags should be 65 characters or less in length. The goal shouldn’t be to generate links, it should be to generate buzz or discussion; to share knowledge or data or other insights that we know our audiences (and prospecive customers) will find valauble. Before you publish, please proofread! Google doesn’t like spelling or grammar errors. Oh and don’t try to hide your keywords by, for example, placing them behind images because Google is much smarter than that. Content strategy and execution is a discipline in its own right. If you are looking to build a genuinely compelling brand experience shortcuts cannot be taken.

Find out what keywords are already bringing traffic to your website

Your website is one of your most important pieces of digital equity, and one of the fundamental components of a successful local marketing stack. The words that make up a query are commonly referred to as “keywords,” a foundational element of SEO. Since the ultimate goal of your SEO strategy is to help people who are looking for your business or products, what more logical place to start than optimizing your site to best match customers' searches? The more likely potential visitors are to think your site will provide an answer to their search query, the more traffic a page will gain. We asked an SEO Specialist, Gaz Hall, for his thoughts on the matter: "One common SEO issue that can be tackled is duplicate content. This is when there is more than one way to reach the same content on your site. "

Your content marketing campaign will fail unless you integrate SEO

If your online business isn’t taking advantage of all that SEO solutions offer, you’re bound to fall short of the competition. Successive Google algorithm updates have seen the nature of SEO change radically. Where once processes such as keyword stuffing – cramming words that are popular in Google searches into your website’s copy, whether they make sense or not – may have worked, now they can actually work against you. If you have several versions of your site in different languages, add visual cues linking to your multilingual content in or near your top navigation. For example, you can use flag icons to link to each country or language’s site. Apple even has a page that lists all the countries for which they provide a website version. Do you sponsor any events? Ensure you get a link from their website to yours as part of the deal.
