Without discounting the value of links and traffic, content is most likely the key element of a website's charisma. Good content will lead to links and traffic. Seek out industry-relevant and locally-relevant links from groups and websites with which you already have an offline relationship. It makes sense to use the same keywords in titles and headlines, simply because a single page should always define it's topic as exactly as possible. This means there will always be only two or three main keywords any given page will need to be optimized for. Trust an SEO expert who will build a campaign that uses a proven process, creates original branded content and monitors relevant metrics.
Over optimization of keywords on your site is also detrimental
Whenever a high authority blog links to your website, Google considers it as a positive signal toward your blog. Your blog becomes more important and it gives your site a boost in search rankings. The more backlinks you have, the higher you rank on Google Search. Head terms are
searched more frequently, have less words (3 or less in most cases) and are often much more generic and competitive as a result. Long-tail terms are longer phrases (commonly over 3 words) and more specific. While long-tail keywords are usually less popular, we can usually tell exactly what the searcher is after. Noindex is a meta tag implementation that is sometimes used on search pages. Since some implementations of filters use the same technology as search pages, you may inadvertently be hiding some of your most valuable pages from search engines. There are many ways to market your business online and they all work in very different ways. One of the best options for new businesses is called search engine optimisation or SEO for short. This is the process of improving your website position in search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing. SEO takes time to work as it is all about building up the reputation of your website.
Google guidelines don't agree with your approach
The driver of any heavy-duty link campaign is the quality and volume of your content. If your content is of average quality and covers the same information dozens of other sites have covered, it will not attract many links Old-school SEO focused
on keywords. New-school SEO focuses on high click-through rates, “long clicks”, freshness, and amplification...which are all signals that users are successfully finding the answers they’re looking for in your content. Many marketers are so focused on building out site hierarchy,
wireframing and design of the site that they lose site of content
development. SEO is a huge part of content development, but
when content becomes an afterthought during web redesign,
and the focus is on getting the new site live ASAP, often times
marketers will put the content together without deliberate thought
to keyword inclusion and smart SEO content strategies. There’s a good chance you have some fantastic resources your audience would love. If you don’t, get thinking. What can you build that would really interest your market? That others would share with their readers? Making use of the assets your business has will be a hook for getting attention – building links is much easier when you have content worth linking to.
SEO brings in traffic, and gives your revenues a big hike
A fast website keeps the attention of site visitors and encourages them to browse the content; a page that loads slowly will often drive users away - perhaps toward your competitors. The most effective way to boost your website’s indexation is through linking. The paths that the spiders take through the Internet are formed by links. When one page links to another page, the spider follows that path. Within your own website, make sure that you’ve created links to and from all your most important pages. Millions of businesses and individuals are competing for visibility in search engines, and many of them are writing what is, subjectively, “good” content. But what makes that content “good”? According to
SEO Consultant, Gaz Hall: "Your bounce rate is determined by the amount of people that click on the link to your website in the search engine result pages (SERPs) and consequently click back again to Google. A high bounce rate indicates that people did not find what they were looking for on your website."
Web 2.0 indexing works wonders
Make sure that your website’s main menu only features the most important categories. Study your niche
(a.k.a. know your target audience!) and write specifically for the purpose of helping them. As a digital marketer, one of the most frequent questions I get asked is “how do I get traffic to my website?” You should definitely be using canonical URLs with keywords and a relevant directory structure that also includes keywords. You should also avoid using too many page variables after the URL.
