Longer content tends to rank significantly higher on Google’s first page. Make sure all of your articles have 1000+ words of useful content. Longer content helps you rank better for your target keyword and brings in more long tail traffic. Search engines simply want to deliver the most relevant results to their users based on search queries. Spend a little time thinking about how you can get inbound links for your
website. Write informative, high-quality blog entries and share them on
social networks. Another great way to get inbound links is to write blog
entries about current events or news. This will increase the probability
of getting links from media outlets or opinion shapers. There are ways to do a bulk search on a list of URLs to check if any of the pages contain a link to yours, but if you're checking this on a daily basis, it's probably just as fast to do a quick manual check.
Determining the goal for the site
A search result with a high CTR can often be given a boost
by Google because it’s seen as attractive and relevant. You
can increase your CTR by giving your page a custom meta
description. This can be done from the page’s HTML or if
you’re using WordPress, you could use a plugin like Yoast
SEO to do this. The macro approach
to keyword research is necessary for content heavy websites (and optimizing for traffic), but not ideal when doing intent-focused keyword research, as would be the case for Ecommerce, software, or other scenarios where some keyword phrases are going to carry significantly more qualification. .The concept of searcher’s intent is no new. We have seen the focus shifting from SEO to understanding searcher’s intent to provide better user experience. After the release of Google Panda and Google Penguin update, SEOs have started focussing on user experience rather solely on Search Engines. The shift to mobile devices has caused Google to change the methodology behind how it indexes and ranks websites.
Address the Audience Directly
Blogging is a great way to stay up to date while
easily generating new, relevant content. Blogging
regularly (ideally once a week at a minimum) can have
significant implications for search engine optimization,
since each new blog entry represents a new web page. Using keywords in
your content allows you to reach better more diverse audiences, including niche audiences. The key to this is using keywords naturally within your content. One of the basic tools of the trade for an SEO practitioner is the search engines themselves. They provide a rich array of commands that can be used to perform advanced research, diagnosis, and competitive analysis. You might get caught up in creating different versions of content for your locale
sites. But remember, creating remarkable and unique content should be your
highest priority, above any other off-page seo tips. Create interesting and
valuable content that other people will want to link to, no matter where they
live.
More powerful subheadings
Another factor in determining the value of a link is the way the link is implemented and where it is placed. For example, the text used in the link itself (i.e., the actual text that a user clicks on to go to your web page) is also a strong signal to the search engines. Did you migrate from HTTP to HTTPS or are planning to do so? If so, it’s best to monitor after so you can gauge the impact on rankings and traffic. You can also build a reasonable idea of how many links you need, and how authoritative, in order to compete. To check out your competitors’ links, you can search for their most popular URLs with the link: command in Google. If you want to go further, use one of the many backlink tools to search for the most influential links – a good starting point is Open Link Profiler which gives you a lot of data for free. According to
SEO Consultant, Gaz Hall: "A good page titles is probably one of the most important SEO strategies for one page SEO. You should include your niche keyword in each of your page titles and if possible your H1."
Track organic traffic and your website inbound links
Duplicate content is your website’s worst enemy. Google is very serious about penalizing websites with duplicate content, descriptions or titles. If you recently
moved to HTTPS or you plan to do so, mixed content is something you’ll most likely have to deal with. SEO is all about getting more search visibility, yet there's no way I (or anyone else) can guarantee you a certain ranking or position for any specific keyword. There are too many variables at play, even with keyword and competitive research in hand. Links need to actually be of interest to the reader. They must be relevant to the reader’s concerns and answer a question, provide advice, show images or do something else that is beneficial to the reader. This might sound tough, but it’s really not.
