If your current website isn’t using HTTPS then you should start scoping out a migration. Linking out to well-respected authority sites will not only increase the relevancy of your content and time readers spend on your site, but it is also believed to send trust signals to Google and improve SEO ranking. At some stage you are going to have a large list of potential keywords. We need to find a way of picking the best ones to concentrate on. Within this we want a mix of head and long-tail terms. The content on your site should be organized in a logical way. This is not only good for SEO, it also helps visitors on your site find other related content easily. (The longer they stay on your site, the better.)
Consistent doesn't mean identical.
People don’t read on the web; they scan. To make scanning easier, use plenty of clear and informative sub-headers to guide readers down a page. Use facts, figures
and dates whenever possible. People love comparisons and making the best comparisons usually requires coming up with some solid proof. Scraping feeds to create automated content for your website is plain stupid. Either for affiliate gain or just to add content to your website, this type of content, to lure Google to your site, doesn’t add any value to the internet, Google or any human. It just slows down Google, as it has to decide on whether this content is of any value to its visitors. It’s not most of the times. How powerful is your domain name? How well does it rank in those all-important search engines? The measure of your domain name’s power is called “domain authority,” and it depends on three general factors: size, age, and popularity.
Web 2.0 indexing is great for backlinks
Principally, technical SEO is concerned with how a website works, and how search engines are able to crawl and index our pages. Think of technical SEO as the foundations of your site – without it, whatever beautiful building you create won’t be as sturdy as you’d like. Internal linking is
the process of linking one page to another on your site. This is done in a few ways including your navigation menu, sidebar links, and links inside page content to other pages on your site. Every site-owner needs to gather links and local business owners would probably benefit even more for good links. If you’re new to the SEO game it's easy to be fooled into thinking that once you get the basics down it’s easy peasy, especially when you have a few small successes right away – you’ll get an inflated sense of ego and think “I got this!”.
Include a question (and answer) in your content
Technical SEO is the practice of ensuring that all potential pitfalls and opportunities involving the technology or structure of your website are being addressed. We care about the relationship between your website and the rest of the internet, particularly search engines and their crawlers. Mobile is becoming more popular every year. Having a sitemap for your website plays a crucial role in SEO. It helps Google easily crawl your pages and index your website. We asked an
SEO Specialist, Gaz Hall, for his thoughts on the matter: "Links aren’t the only factor of importance; you also need to make sure your on-page SEO is up to scratch and that your keyword targeting is on-point."
It doesn’t always guarantee high click-through-rates
Duplicate content isn’t necessarily a bad or wrong thing, apart from in the above example where it’s just straight up theft. Longer content tends
to rank significantly higher on Google’s first page. Make sure all of your articles have 1000+ words of useful content. Longer content helps you rank better for your target keyword and brings in more long tail traffic. The most fundamental objective of any SEO project should be to drive the bottom line. For a business, this means delivering more revenue with favorable ROI. Monitoring tools are a huge part of ensuring only quality links are connected to your site, and give you an easy way to remove any negative or potentially harmful ones.
